And because knowing how to dress appropriately for any occasion is critical to being stylish, your wedding attire should also reflect your venue, wedding season, and theme. Updated classic

Black and gray will always be trendy colors when it comes to traditional wedding attire, but for an updated classic look, consider wearing something blue instead. Whether you choose navy blue, light blue, or something in between, this color is a great option to bridge the gap between timeless and trendy styles. Blue pairs well with brown and black, making it a versatile color that can be worn in almost any setting, season, or dress code. Our recommendation: For a sophisticated (but not stuffy) vibe, wear a Mystic Blue three-piece suit with a fitted silhouette. Pair your suit with brown leather dress shoes, a crisp white collared shirt, and a white pocket square. Dressing your groomsmen in identical blue suits and matching ties will create a classy look – choose a floral patterned tie to make yourself stand out as the groom.

If you’re a risk taker when it comes to your everyday style, you’re probably already thinking about upping your fashion game on the big day, too. Make a statement by wearing a suit or tux in the latest eye-catching color: blue-green. The jewel’s unique shade is inspired by this year’s wedding color palettes, which focus on the return of bold and vibrant hues. From bohemian woodland weddings to elegant ballroom celebrations, wearing a blue-green suit on your big day is definitely something that will turn heads, but this color is easier to pull off than you might expect (color shown here it’s called Slate Blue). Since this non-traditional shade will attract enough attention on its own, keep the rest of your look streamlined and sharp. Don’t go overboard with accessories and colored prints, instead prefer solid, neutral colors to get an outfit that’s trendy without going overboard.

Your wedding day is a fabulous opportunity to dress totally right. After all, how many times do you have an excuse to go after James Bond in a tux and a bow tie? Because a classic black tuxedo will never go out of style, this is a smart choice if you are going for a timeless outfit or if you are having a wedding on the more traditional side. We love this look if you’re getting married in a glamorous ballroom, a historical museum, a country club, or some other fancy venue. The best part? Not only are tuxedos limited to black, but you can easily find styles in dark blue, gray, and even white (great throwback vibes), so you’ll have plenty of options when choosing one that makes you feel like a a million dollars.

Whether you’re getting married in a vineyard, in a barn in the country, or on the beach, choosing a venue that promotes a more casual dress code doesn’t mean you have to skimp on style. In fact, you should still put just as much thought into your wedding day look! It may sound counterintuitive, but there is something like a casual suit – typically, they are made from light fabrics, including merino wool, linen, or even cotton. Lighter-colored suits (indigo, pale gray, and tan are some of the options) can also help you achieve a laid-back look on the big day. We love this group of groomsmen who kept their outfit coordinated yet comfortable with gray shark skin suits (no vests) and matching blush pink ties. This look would be a perfect fit for a fall outdoor wedding!

Eclectic

Do you want to create a unique outfit for your wedding day? Don’t be shy about mixing and matching different suits or tuxedos to create a unique combination. Today’s menswear is all about customization and tailored pieces, which means it’s definitely okay to break the rules to achieve a wedding look that is totally yours. Try pairing suits, jackets and vests in different colors and / or fabrics until you find what best suits your needs. This groom added a charcoal gray vest to his Mystic Blue lapel suit for an elegant and period-inspired touch, while the groomsmen donned matching blue vests with their suits. The men completed their look with burgundy ties as a nod to the bridesmaids’ dresses and the ribbons in the bride’s bouquet.

For the groom who wants to look good while keeping it simple, a slim fit suit will do the trick. A simple tailored jacket and dark colored pants, like a black or navy suit, will give your wedding attire a modern look without the fuss – an ideal route if you don’t want to feel too buttoned up or restricted by a vest, sash or suspenders.
