▷ 🥇 Dos and Don’ts on Wedding Day

From prep in the morning to the last dance in the evening, there are many different parts of your special day that will need to be perfectly coordinated. Timing is everything!

Many couples say that their wedding day goes so fast and it’s easy to let it slip away without you noticing. Time can really make or break the entire event, so allow plenty of time between each part of your wedding so that you can enjoy each moment, but try not to make big gaps where you leave your guests waiting.

DO Make a detailed timeline

It is important to create as detailed a timeline as possible. Ideally you will have it finished weeks before the wedding and distribute it to all the members of your bridal party, the necessary wedding providers and your MC. Couples often forget to include details like toasts, dances, gift exchanges, and transportation.

Don’t forget to make a list of your providers

Don’t forget to list all of your wedding vendors and their contact details so everyone can get in touch with each other instead of asking you or the groom. Go through all the arrangements you made to make sure everything goes smoothly during the day.

Start your preparations early

It is never too early to start preparing! Get up early on your wedding day, eat a nutritious breakfast, and prepare for when your hairdresser and makeup artist arrives. You may have to do your morning beauty routine, have a cup of coffee, and make some snacks for the bridesmaids, so add all of this to your timeline as well.

DO NOT rush to prepare

Getting ready is the first exciting part of the day, so don’t rush. Leave plenty of time and enjoy every minute. You may need to add an extra hour or two to allow for traffic if people are driving to where you are preparing. You’ll want enough time for your wedding photographer to take those snaps and any family snaps are groomed.

It is much easier for you and your guests if the ceremony and reception are held in the same location, but if not, be sure to organize transportation and time well. Always add a little more time to what you think you will need for transportation! Especially if you are transporting guests from the ceremony site or the reception site.

DO NOT allow too much time between each part of your wedding

But as much as it is important to leave enough space between the different parts of the wedding, especially if the itinerary includes traveling between different locations, you must be careful to avoid a common mistake there. That is, some couples make big holes and a lot of time is wasted and you don’t stay with much time at the reception.

Taking family photos at your wedding is a must, but it can be a bit difficult to organize. Make sure you have plenty of time for that, too, and ask someone to help you gather family members. When we asked the couples what they would like to have had photos of nine times more than ten, they were family photos. Make a list of all the family photos you would like to capture.

Don’t wait too long to cut the cake

The cake cutting is the time when guests start thinking about going home, especially if they have to drive a long distance. Some of your guests, especially the elderly or parents with children, might want to leave early, so don’t let everyone wait too long for your cake!
