Let’s face it, finding time to plan a wedding is no easy feat. Couples in 2015 spend around 15 hours a week planning their wedding according to a recent WeddingWire survey, and that is sure to cut down on their time in the office.
We’ve found out how you can plan your wedding at work and still pass the performance review at the end of the quarter.
Email sellers
Correspondence with suppliers during the work day is a way to plan under the radar. According to a recent WeddingWire survey, 77% of couples prefer to use email when communicating with a provider. If you can access your personal email at work, it’s an easy way to confirm prices, set up tastings, and schedule appointments without your boss noticing!
Use WeddingWire tools
The recent survey also found that 50% of couples plan from their desks. Fortunately for you WeddingWire has a variety of free online tools that you can use! Stay organized with a virtual checklist, track your expenses with our budget tool, or create your guest list and track RSVPs with our guest list tool! The options are endless for online planning and everything can be easily hidden behind other work-related tabs.

Using WeddingWire’s hashtag generator during coffee break
Tired of all the planning? Take a break on your coffee break! Use our unique generator to create a hashtag that all your guests can use during their wedding. You might miss a few moments here and there while making the rounds and greeting people, so a source of images captured by your guests is a good way to catch up on things you’ve missed. Don’t worry about what your coworkers will think, it will look like you’re creating a fancy new algorithm.
Read supplier contracts
Nothing looks more professional than putting out a PDF in a small multi-page font. Take this time to read every word of the contracts your provider sends you. Before signing it, be sure to share it with your OS and make a list of questions you may have. If something seems wrong, don’t hesitate to ask! It is better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck! I hope you don’t get caught.
