▷ 🥇 Relaxation techniques before the wedding: dismiss stress!

There are still 50 wedding invitations to write! What the hell was she thinking when choosing that wedding dress? The wedding decorations will never be ready on time! Most likely, as your big day approaches, you have already said these types of phrases. The tension is mounting, there is not much time left, the to-do list is definitely not decreasing, and you are afraid that you will not be able to complete your preparations.

If that’s your state of mind, it’s time for you to relax. Stress is almost inevitable when organizing a wedding reception. This does not mean, however, that you should suffer without blinking. Fight evil as soon as it happens with these few exercises and never let stress take over.

Taking a bath

Taking time for yourself is essential when you’re feeling anxious and want to defuse your stress. A simple and accessible method for everyone is to take a bath. Set candles, sprinkle bath salts into the water, turn on soft music, turn off your mobile phone, and stand in this soft bubble for as long as it takes to feel soothed. Forget the wedding invitations and the arrangement of bouquets of roses, focus on positive images.

Work on your breathing

Breathing is the foundation of most relaxation techniques. Circulating the air well in your body helps your mind relax by promoting cellular oxygenation and lowering your heart rate. There are many calming and stress relieving breathing exercises. In any case, you should focus on abdominal breathing that mobilizes the diaphragm and neutralizes anxiety.

For example, you can lie on the floor with your knees bent to keep your back flat. Gently placing your hands on your stomach, inhale for 5 to 7 seconds through your nose and feel your stomach swell without moving your shoulders. Hold your breath for a few seconds before gently exhaling through your mouth. The exhale should be twice as long as the inhale.

Just walk

Spending time outdoors, oxygenating, walking, participating in a healthy lifestyle, and helping to limit stress. It is recommended to walk for at least 30 minutes each day. Instead of going around in circles at home thinking about your original wedding dress and wondering if you made the right decision, go for a walk and you will see how your ideas will be clearer when you return.

Yoga and Pilates, good practices

These two types of physical exercises are recommended for people who experience pain in the body and / or who show signs of anxiety, fatigue, sleep disorders, etc. Here too, breathing plays an important role and these practices help you reconnect mind and body. Both yoga and Pilates allow you to breathe better, adopt a better posture, relax your muscles, all part of a healthier body and mind.

Foot reflexology

You may have already noticed, nothing better than a foot massage to relax. This is not a coincidence because under the arch of the foot there are points that correspond to all the elements of our body. By massaging this or that point, the tensions of this or that organ are released. Feel free to offer yourself a little session as D-Day approaches.

Meditation is now

If you were looking for the right time to start meditating, wait no more, it is now! This increasingly popular technique is particularly beneficial for daily relaxation. Meditation is practiced on several levels and is very accessible to beginners.

Here’s how to get started: Sit comfortably in a suit or lotus on the floor or on a mattress, with your eyes closed, your back straight, your shoulders and neck relaxed. Inhale and exhale calmly, concentrating only on your breath. Then listen to the sounds around you, identify them, ask yourself if they are pleasant or unpleasant. Do the same exercise with the smells around you. Imagine a place that you like with its sounds and smells. Focus on your body, reviewing it from head to toe and analyzing the sensations of all your extremities.

Now that relaxation techniques have no secrets for you, there is no reason to worry about D-day. Everything will take place in a serene and joyful way during your original wedding. And we bet you’ll even give your wedding speech stress-free!
